23 Mar

Bonjour, mes amies! Je reviens 🙂

It’s Robyn’s turn to show off her new outfit. And it’s grey and pink again.

This is a lovely little tunic by Odile of Passion Poupees. But I think I have made it slightly too long and it is almost long enough to be a dress

The yarn used is Sirdar Snuggly 4 ply in shade 0195 (Silver) and I used a size 3.5 mm crochet hook.

The leggings are a cut up pink sock again.

I love Robyn’s red hair and freckles!

And here are three of my lovelies in grey and pink …

Katie in Pinks – Cotton Candy

20 Nov

Bonjour, mes amies

Here is Katie in a very cute little outfit by (obviously) Odile of Passion Poupees. This pattern was originally for her Itty Bitty doll, Melissa, and I have adapted it for the size of a Mini Corolline. I love this outfit and am very happy with the way it has turned out.

It may be a bit summery for this season, but I just couldn’t resist giving it a try.

I used a size 3 mm crochet hook and 4 ply wool. I did adjust the number of stitches and rows a little, but it was a very easy conversion. The pale pink yarn is Rowan Siena 4 ply shade 655 (Aurora) and the mid pink is Patons 100% Cotton 4 ply in shade 1734 (Candy).

Katie is definitely ‘pretty in pink’.

Passez une bonne journée, à bientôt.

Pretty in Pink – Another Exquisite Pattern from Passion Poupees

19 Oct

Here is an absolutely gorgeous top by Odile at Passion Poupees that I made very soon after Jeannie arrived. I haven’t posted it till now as (obviously) I still hadn’t sewn on the button at the back (I have now!)

The yarn was my first use of ‘mercerised’ cotton for crocheting and I was very pleased with the professional looking result. I used Rowan Siena shade 655 Aurora (pale pink), but now cannot remember which size of crochet hook I used.

Another reason I was unable to post a picture earlier was that I hadn’t yet come up with the rest of the outfit, but yesterday I made a lovely pair of black trousers based on one of Odile’s patterns for a Christmas theme.  I omitted the flare and lace at the bottom of the trousers in her pattern and narrowed the waistband and I think they look fine.  Well, to be honest, they look closer to fishnet tights than a pair of trousers!

Jeannie is wearing Annie’s Corolle riding boots.
