Cool Blue – Annie’s Dress Has Subtle Shades of Blue

This is a lovely soft yarn by Sirdar called Snuggly Kisses (Delicate Stripe Effect DK) in shade 0756 (pale blues).

Annie looks adorable in this sophisticated dress by Sylvie of ‘Poupees de Syl’.  I took a chance and used this DK wool, although the pattern called for a fine yarn like 4 ply.  I did not adjust the number of stitches at all but did use the recommended knitting needle size of 3 mm and it seems to have worked out just fine.

This is a gorgeous pattern that I have been hoping to knit for some time now, and I am not at all disappointed.

I love the frills on this dress, particularly at the bodice. The pattern is so, so cute!

I made the shoes earlier from another pattern by Sylvie – perfect! Although I really should have made some matching shoes – but I really just wanted to get this posted as soon as possible.
